Arriving at our destination

Today started by waking up during another 8 hour flight to Entebbe which is in Uganda. We finally landed and the flight was not too bad at all. The airport in Entebbe was so different from any other one we have been in so far. It was more or less a building where you got your passport stamped and got your bags. After retrieving our bags from the airport the drivers (Peter and Benedict) loaded our bags on top of the land rovers. We had two land rovers to get us to Karagwe so there were 10 people in my car and nine in the other. First, we stopped at the airport guest house to pay for it. This is where the people not going on the safari at the end of the trip will stay before leaving for the airport. Then, we stopped at a market to buy water and biscuits for the long 8 hour drive. The biscuits were basically plain cookies. We drove for about 2 hours until we reached the equator. We stopped at the equator to take pictures and look through the various shops. After that we drove for about an hour and stopped at a place to eat. Here we at simosas which reminded me of an egg roll but it was a triangle shape. We also had fries which looked different than the average french fry. Our next stop was when we had to get our passports checked by guards to pass through Uganda. Directly after we had to get our Uganda visas stamped. So we could "depart". Than as soon as that was done we had to get our Tanzania visas stamped to enter Tanzania. While doing this we all needed to use a restroom. This was our first experience with the "Africa toilets". They weren't western toilets, they were holes in the ground with a ceramic inside. These toilets were in a building with a door just so you know. The road after was very very very bumpy. After a long long drive I felt so gross. We arrived at Nyakahanga hospital around 7:30pm. We were staying on hospital grounds in a house that use to be a doctor's house.
